May 01, 2007 Version 4.8.6
- Revised use of ASPI drivers for better compatibility with Windows Vista.
Feb 01, 2007 Version 4.8.5
- Updated ASPI drivers to work with Microsoft Vista. We are now using the FrogASPI drivers developed and provided by http://www.frogaspi.org. We have renamed the drivers to ASPI32TI.DLL and they are written to the user's Application Data folder to avoid possible driver conflicts.
- Modified Help File to work with Windows Vista. Standard Windows Help is no longer supported under Windows Vista so we have switched over to using the Compiled HTML form of help.
- Modified the built-in Burner ID Wizard to work with Windows Vista.
Jun 15, 2006 Version 4.8.4
- Fixed bug in DVD copying/burning of data sets larger than 4Gb in size. DVD single disc copy and use of "Write image to disk..." option is restricted to 4Gb or less per disc.
- Added code to make the initial disc eject at the start of a burn operation optional. You will be prompted once to set the option and the choice you make will be remembered. See Advanced Options in the help file.
- Added Advanced option to turn on Diagnostic Logging. See Advanced Options in the help file for more information.
- Updated the stand-alone version of our Burner Identification Wizard. This wizard will allow you to select a compatible burner for any unrecognized devices found in your computer. This wizard is also built into the current BurnQuick setup program. Download the wizard from this link:

Mar 11, 2006 Version 4.8.2
- Fixed minor problem in scanning files to be burned. When copying an Audio CD the Data disc option was left enabled thereby causing some confusion as to which type of disc should be created.
Feb 15, 2006 Version 4.8.1
- Added Disc Verify option. Use this option to verify that your disc was correctly burned.
- Added Test Mode option. In test mode all actions required to burn your files to disc are accomplished with the exception of actually burning the disc. You may not verify a disc in test mode.
- Added a new Advanced Option to disable the software cache. You would want to use this option if you are receiving "cache empty" errors when burning at high speeds. See the help file for instructions on how to access Advanced Options.
- Fixed Disc Spanning of file sets greater than 4 Gb. Previous version of BurnQuick would not properly record these large sized file sets. Single drive copies and using the "Writem Image..." option are still limited to a 4 Gb maximum.
- Fixed long filename renaming function. The old functions would fail to rename files correctly if the directory held more than 100 files with a name portion that was longer than 110 characters.
Nov 01, 2005 Version 4.7.4
- Added support for the new Triton Interactive Burner Identification Wizard. A copy of this wizard is included in the Setup program for this version. A standalone copy of the wizard can be downloaded from:

Jul 26, 2004 Version 4.5a

Dec 07, 2003 Version 4.0i
- Added Disc spanning. If you select a set of files that is larger than will fit on a single CD, BurnQuick will let them be written to a set of CDs. Each CD created is readable in a standard CD ROM drive and all files are complete on their respective CDs.
- Added Multiple Queues. The BurnQuick Queue now lets you load and save its contents to disk. This feature allows you to create "sets" of files or folders that you often want to write to CD for safekeeping and save and reload the "sets" into the queue whenever you want to burn them. Great for a simple data back-up scheme.
- CD-RW Erase Command. We have added a command to the BurnQuick right-click menu to allow you to erase one or more CD-RW discs. This command can be accessed from the Windows Explorer by right clicking on the icon for your CD burner. Please see the help file for more information.
- The BurnQuick Queue Window now shows the audio length of files in addition to the data length of files. Automatically updates as you add or remove MP3 or WAV files from the Queue.
- Better handling of "in-use" files. BurnQuick now scans all files and folder to determine if a file is "in-use". BurnQuick skips "in-use" files to avoid cache errors that can occur when you try to burn these files to disc.
- Added a progress indicator to Audio CD copying during the audio extraction process.
- Added code to alert the user to a partial incompatibility with certain older CD burners.
- Fixed a bug where a copy of the BurnQuick program was burned to all data discs.
- Fixed a bug that doubled the number of tracks burned to an Audio disc causing an error message in some cases.
- Fixed a bug where selecting a folder that contained only folders was scanned incorrectly and reported as containing audio files.
- Fixed a bug in the BurnQuick Queue that reported a phantom Audio Length even when no audio files were selected.
Aug 12, 2003 Version 3.5b
- Added support for new CD burners.
Feb 06, 2003 Version 3.0d
- Added support for copying standard Audio and Data CDs. All copies can be made using a single drive if neccessary. Of course we also support dual-drive copying if you have a two-drive system. The single-drive copy requires that you have about 700Mb free on your computer. BurnQuick will tell you if it can't find enough free space.
- Added a new method to bring up the BurnQuick Queue. We have added an icon to the system tray in the lower right corner of your computer's desktop. Look for it to show up right after you install the new version. You can now open up the queue with a single click on this icon. You can also configure this icon to only show up when you have items in the queue. Just right-click on the icon to set the options.
- Added an automatic rename feature for those of you with super long filenames. CD filenames can not be longer than 110 characters. If BurnQuick finds a long name it will suggest a new name for the file and then let you rename it. There is also a check box that will let BurnQuick rename all of the long names it finds.
- Added support for many new CD burners. As always, if you are planning to buy a new burner we ask that you check out our compatibility page at http://www.burnquick.com/cd-burners.asp to make sure that the model you are planning on buying is supported.
Jan 23, 2003 Version 2.5e
- Added support for new burners.
Aug 13, 2002 Version 2.12h
- The Queue window now is fully sizable and the size is recorded and restored every time you view the Queue window.
- The Queue window now shows the current size of all queued files.
- At least one minor annoyance relating to mistagged MP3 files has been eliminated.
- BurnQuick now rejects WAV files that are NOT 44.1Khz, 16 bit, Stereo.
- Fixed bug that wasn't saving the disc name on Windows NT, 2000, and XP
- The burner selection drop down is a little wider to make it easier to see what burner you are selecting.
- A help button was added to the main BurnQuick screen. F1 still works.
- Better filtering of MP3 files. Certain MP3 files are incompatible with BurnQuick's on-the-fly burning. This version will reject any MP3 files that are not compatible BEFORE burning starts. These MP3 files can still be burned as data but they will not be recognized as audio files.
- The installer has been given a complete facelift and we now include an option to install ASPI drivers if they are required.
- Fixed the "Close Disc..." option that was getting accidentally recorded as "checked" after burning any Audio disc. We believe that this was a source of some confusion. The "Close disc..." option is now recorded only after a successful burn of a Data disc.
- We fixed a bug that affected people who sent more than 1,000 files to BurnQuick at one time. There is now no limit except for available memory and other Windows restrictions.
Version 2.0a
- BurnQuick now shows up at the top level of the right click pop-up menu. We also have added more sub-commands to our menu. More details below.
- Added a Queue windows so that you can select multiple file and folders from different folders and "queue" them for later burning. New commands to manipulate the queue are added to the BurnQuick pop-up command menu.
Version 1.50
- Added support for MP3 and WAV audio files and the creation of Audio CDs. If you select a set of audio files and send them to BurnQuick you will be offered the option to create an Audio CD. The Audio CD that you create can be played back in most CD players. Note: You must use CD-R media (not CD-RW) to create Audio CDs.
If you select a set of audio files PLUS some other data files or a directory you will also be given the option to create a Mixed-Mode CD. These Mixed-Mode disks can be played back in most CD players but the first track will contain the data portion of the disk and will not play.
NOTE: You must directly select the audio files in order to be given the option to create an Audio CD. If the audio files are located in a folder you CAN NOT send the folder to burnquick. You must open the folder and send the files themselves to BurnQuick.
Version 1.10
- Initial release of BurnQuick. Had basic data burning capability.
